Terms & Conditions — Figurative as Concept Open Call ARTMETOD Art Project & Aspace Gallery NYC April 22–24, 2026 · Brooklyn, NY

Eligibility

Open to artists based in New York and the United States. All submitted work must be original, entirely hand-produced, and completed within the last three years. Abstract work, collage, AI-generated, digital, or digitally manipulated work will not be accepted.

Painting · Drawing · Analogue Photography · Printmaking · Graphic work · Works on paper

Dimensions

Works must not exceed 60 × 60 inches including frame. Weight must not exceed 20 lbs. Works outside these limits cannot be accommodated. Please measure carefully before submitting — oversized or overweight works will be disqualified upon arrival.

Framing

  • Graphic works must be framed with plexiglass only — no glass

  • All works must be fully dry and ready to hang upon arrival

  • Unsuitable or damaged framing will result in disqualification

  • Any repair or replacement of framing is the financial responsibility of the artist

Shipping

Selected artists are responsible for shipping their work to the exhibition venue. The shipping address will be provided upon notification on April 14. Works must arrive by April 20, 2026.

A prepaid return shipping label must be included inside the package. Works will be returned in the same packaging as received — please use a sturdy commercial box. ARTMETOD Art Project and Aspace Gallery NYC are not responsible for works in transit, including loss or damage during shipping or return.

Liability

All entries are made at the risk of the artist. While care will be taken in the handling of all works, neither ARTMETOD Art Project nor Aspace Gallery NYC can be held responsible for loss or damage before, during, or after the exhibition. Artists are responsible for insuring their work at all times — during transit and while on the gallery premises.

ARTMETOD Art Project and Aspace Gallery NYC are not responsible for damage caused by works framed with glass. Plexiglass is strongly recommended.

Submitted images are assumed to be accurate representations of the work. Work that differs substantially from the submitted image may be disqualified.

Sales

Artists retain 100% of sales. ARTMETOD Art Project and Aspace Gallery NYC take no commission. Any sales inquiries received during the exhibition will be directed to the artist directly.

Copyright & Publicity

The artist retains full copyright over all submitted work. By submitting, the artist grants ARTMETOD Art Project the right to reproduce submitted images for promotional, press, and archival purposes in connection with this exhibition and future ARTMETOD projects.

Agreement

Submission constitutes full acceptance of these terms and conditions. ARTMETOD Art Project reserves the right to disqualify any work found to be in violation of these terms at any stage of the process
